Download Instructions/Help: Apple Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper Issues

If GateKeeper warns that it is 'unable to check for malicious software', go to 'System Settings -> Security -> General' and add an exception to allow it to "open anyway" (see Apple site for more info).

If you get a message that the App is "damaged", then first try re-download the file (clearing your browser cache if possible). If it still says that, then try either:
* Run Terminal, and enter: xattr -cr /path/to/TheApplication.app
* or, also in Terminal: sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /path/to/TheApplication.app
* and/or try rebooting or clearing your cache and re-downloading the DMG.

You can also Ctrl+Click the App's icon to attempt bypassing Gatekeeper. (This is safe for our applications, though it's not advisable for suspicious applications.)

Sometimes, re-downloading the application also helps.

Contact us if the issue persists.

Two Download Options: Intel and Apple Chip (M1/M2 etc.)

For Mac users, we offer two download options, depending on your Mac's specifications.

Generally, if you have an Intel-based Mac, you should use the Intel download.

If you have a Mac with an Apple chip (M1/M2 etc., also known as arm64), please use the other download option. The Apple Chip build is specifically optimized for the Apple M1/M2 etc., eliminating the need for Apple Rosetta and maximizing performance.

If you are not sure what type of Mac you have, click the Apple logo menu and select "About This Mac", and check the "Chip" or macOS version.

Note: The 'Apple Chip' version won't work on an Intel-based Mac. Conversely, the Intel version can run an Apple-Chip-based Mac, but it may operate slightly slower as it must run in Rosetta for emulation.

To install, double-click the DMG package, and drag the application icons into the Applications folder.
