News: Version 2022 pre-release available. Now also supports new Macs running on Apple chips.

Windows (64-bit and 32-bit):

This single installer installs both 64-bit and 32-bit versions together, and adds extra shortcuts in the Windows Start menu labelled "64-bit" if you want to run 64-bit versions (otherwise by default it runs the 32-bit version). The 32-bit and 64-bit versions are fully compatible with each other. You can use Help/About to see which version you are using.
In general, it is also usually fine to install an older version over a newer version in case you need to revert to an older version.
If SmartScreen pops up with a message about "protecting your PC", click "More Info", then click "Run Anyway" - this is a false alarm from Microsoft SmartScreen. Also please select "Report as Safe" if you see such an option.
macOS 64-bit (new):

If you are using Monterey or have a Mac with an Apple chip ("M1"), please use the alternative downloads below.
If you are not sure what type of Mac you have, click the Apple logo menu and select "About This Mac", and check the "Chip" or macOS version.
To install, open the DMG package, and drag the application icons onto the Applications folder.
If you are using Monterey or higher on an Apple chip (M1), you should use this alternative download. (This build is targeted for the Apple M1, so should not need Apple Rosetta, allowing you to get the most performance-wise from your M1.) Please note this early release may have some aesthetic issues we are working on.
Click the above link, then select the sub-folder with the highest version number to find the .dmg.
Try this alternative download if you are using Monterey or higher (or Big Sur) on an Intel Mac and the regular download is not working.
Click the above link, then select the sub-folder with the highest version number to find the .dmg.
If you are not sure if your Mac has an Intel or an Apple chip, click the Apple logo menu, select "About This Mac" and check the "Chip".)
If you get a message that the App is "damaged", then try either:
* Run Terminal, and enter: xattr -cr /path/to/TheApplication.app
* or, also in Terminal: sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /path/to/TheApplication.app
* and/or try rebooting or clearing your cache and re-downloading the DMG. Contact us if that still doesn't work.
macOS 32-bit (old):

Important: Please note for 32-bit macOS, our final release will be version 2019 - you can still use it on 32-bit-compatible macOS systems, but new features and updates will only be in our new 64-bit (Catalina-ready) releases.
NB: If you need the 'old-DOM/Legacy' TLex, click here.

Old-DOM Legacy Version ('Old Document Object Model')
If you are still specially required to use our 'old-DOM version for a particular project, use these download links.
Please note that as of June 2018 fewer than 2% of our active users are still on old-DOM, so we will no longer produce new old-DOM builds; however, we will leave a 'final binary release' online indefinitely, to assist with future conversion and so that users are left 'stuck'. Please contact us if you would like assistance converting your document to the new Document Object Model.
If you want help converting an old-DOM document to new-DOM format, please contact us for a free evaluation of the work: if the work is 'simple' we will do it for free; if it's complex we will provide a quotation.
Windows:

To save the installer file to your hard disk, click on the link with the right mouse button and select "Save Target As". Once you have downloaded the file, run it (e.g. by double-clicking on it) to install the software. (If you already have an older version installed, this installer will automatically first uninstall the previous, and then install itself.)
If SmartScreen pops up with a message about "protecting your PC", click "More Info", then click "Run Anyway" - this is a false alarm from Microsoft SmartScreen. Also please select "Report as Safe" if you see such an option.
macOS:

For 64-bit macOS versions (Catalina etc.), click here, then enter the sub-folder with the highest 4-digit build number, then download the desired DMG, then drag the application icons onto your Applications folder.
Please note that for our 32-bit macOS release line, the final version will be version 2019 - you can still use it on 32-bit-compatible macOS systems, but we will include new features only in our new 64-bit (Catalina-ready) release line.
